As a result of her sporting talents, Emma is very well known in karate circles throughout Europe and indeed USA.
As a result, she has many world class athletes and coaches that she would consider to be friends.

She trains 25/30 hours a week, not only karate training but, strength and conditioning, flexibility, Olympic weight lifting, plus a program for nutrition, rest, sleep and recovery. This program has been put together by TeamGB and Scottish Karate for Emma as she has been identified by TeamGB as being one of only 2 athletes of her age as showing potential for selection for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

All a very big commitment and very demanding to manage her time for her training, competing and most importantly education.

She as a true star and a credit to Carluke High School. Congratulations Emma on your tremendous success so far and we wish you well in all your future competitions.  A wonderful role model for all our pupils.
