The 11th of November marks the 99th anniversary of the armistice being signed, the day that the war to end all wars came to an end.
We remember the devastating wars of the past and ongoing wars every November, on Remembrance Day.
This year for Remembrance Day the Social Studies club are running a Poppy Appeal poster competition.
This competition involves making a poster that promotes Remembrance Day. Be as creative as you can!
If you would like help with your poster or if you would like to use pens/paper please come up to the Social Studies department at lunchtime.
You can even work on your poster at home with your family!
There will be a prize for the best poster and the winning poster will be used across the school during Remembrance week to promote the poppy.
This competition is free to enter and open to the whole school and the deadline for entries is Friday 3rd of November.
To submit your entry hand your poster into the social subjects base.
This poster is for a great cause and it will help raise money for such an important charity.
