The annual Natural High Presentation (drink and drug awareness) for S1 pupils will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 2
nd February.
South Lanarkshire Active Schools Secondary Dance Competition
Carluke High school will be competing in this years South Lanarkshire Active Schools Secondary Dance Competition. Last year 8 South Lanarkshire Secondary schools participated with the event being a great success. This year there has been an increase in the number of secondary schools competing, with the number of teams doubling. Carluke High will be competing this year in the senior category with 3 S4 girl's taking to the stage with their routine.

"Speak up Speak Out"
The school is running several events to highlight HMD.
- S2 pupils wnet to Edinburgh Film Theatre all day Monday to see ‘Hana’s Suitcase’, a movie about a girl who died during the Holocaust. Her brother who survived it was there to speak to them afterwards and tell them about his personal experience of the event.
- Robert Cunningham and Stephen Buggy, S6 pupils, took assemblies all week, telling of their experiences during their visit to Auschwitz.
- Robert and Stephen were filmed by South Lanarkshire Council for a presentation to be shown on HMD. See them here.
- 2E6 performed the poem ‘First they came’ by Pastor Martin Niemoller at assemblies.
- There is a display of fiction and non-fiction related to the holocaust in the library.
- A holocaust survivor called Rosa Sacharan spoke to pupils on Thursday in the library.

The Geography Department are organising visits to Dynamic Earth for S1 pupils on 8th, 22nd and 29th February.
