Sarah Tonnar 2B2 played her violin at a concert in New Lanark.

Callum Skinner has been selected for the starting XI for Carluke High School 2nd Year Football team.

Darryn Watt has been selected for the starting XI for Carluke High School 2nd Year Football team.

Martin Delaney has been selected for the starting XI for Carluke High School 2nd Year Football team

Martin Delaney won a bronze medal in the Scottish Tae Kwondo Championships with the Wishaw Team

Rachel Dent finished in 6th place in the Lanark Talent Contest.

Connor Birtwistle won 2 awards at the Street level Oscars, most caring young person and the best organiser.

Jordan Philip 2D won the SSBU Secondary national Championship, junior doubles badminton tournament with Alistair Orr, in Perth

Caitlin Whitson 5D2 was selected by the Rotary Club of Carluke to attend RYLA.

Lauren Forgie 5D2 got highly commended for her Gold National Dancing Exams and commended plus for her hornpipe exam.

Lauren Forgie passed her general paper for the Queen’s Award.

Kaitlin Sturthers passed her general paper for the Queen’s Award.

Robert Cunningham 5D2 won the Account prize.

Alice Fingland came 1st in the doubles and 2nd in the singles at the Clydesdale Badminton Championships 2011.

Scott Forrest 5D1 won the Scottish Championship U-18 Boxing

Alistair Lees 5D1 has been successful in working part time with a very successful AV company.

Andrew Hollis 1D1 completed his Silver reading Award to an outstanding level.

Nathan Low 1D2 became the U12 Scottish Sprint and marathon Kayak Champion, covering distances of 200, 500 and 1000m for the sprint and 3k-5k for the marathon.  He was 5th fastest in the British championships and the 1st Scottish athlete under 3mins.

Callum Waltho 3D successfully trialled for Clyde U15 pro youth.

April Lannigan 1D1 wrote and read out her poems entitled “My Mother’s Kitchen” on National Poetry Day.

Lucy Clyde 3D and Lauren Hutchinson 3D won all their netball games against Lesmahagow.

Kimberely Stewart 2D read out her poem called “Home is” on National Poetry Day.

Cameron Wright 1D2 took part in a BMX tournament and came 4th.

Conor Morgan 1H achieved his green belt in Tae Kwondo

Thomas Baxter 3H came 2nd in the 60m and 200 metre sprints at his club championships.

Rachel Armstrong won 6 trophies at Highland Dancing and has moved into the Premier Section.

Chantelle Keir and Megan Colvan took part in National poetry Day.

Alistair Orr 2K1 won the SSBU Secondary national Championship, junior doubles badminton tournament with Jordan Philip, in Perth

Colin Jackson 5K passes a recent Army fitness test.

Ronan Stewart 1k won a piping contest.

Lynsey Park got 88% in her maths test, the top mark in her class.

Laura Tannahill 1K won the Little Gems cup in Golf and the Two Balls Shield.

Lynsey Park 1K auditioned successfully for Shine.

Kyle Forgie 1K1 won the WSKC Championships at Karting.

Dean Jackson 1K1 won a fishing competition.

James White 6K was part of the winning football team at Forth Gala day.

Chanel Armstrong 1K got 75% in her maths test.

Stephen Tait 1K plays football for Clyde Valley 1998 and won 8-0 against EK Blues.

Graeme Hutchinson 6K passed his driving test.

Evan Jones 1k1 won a bronze medal in the South Lanarkshire Schools 100 metres.

Kaitlin Miller 6K achieved a Baden Powell Award.

Robyn McDougall 1K won a bronze medal in dancing.

Caitlin Moore 6M passed her driving test.

Rebecca Nicholls 3m won a dancing competition.

Heather Miller 1m won a trophy at Golf for the Best New Comer.

Robert Tindall 4M won a medal at Golf.

Liam McQuade passed his 1st grading in Thai Boxing and got his white prahjead.

Megan Spalding read out a poem on National Poetry Day.

Laona Allan 1M won the junior speaker prize in the Inter House Public Speaking Competition.

Demi McKeown 2L passed her dancing exam with Highly commended.

Calum Harrison 4L1 won the Boys U18 Scratch Championships at Carluke Golf Club.

Morven Brooks 1L helped her mum raise money for Brest Cancer Care.

Laura Walker4L1 achieved her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Callum Wilson 3D won gold and Silver at the TaeKwonDo British Championships at Stratford. 

Bethany Gillan 1D came 2nd in the British Championships at gymnastics. 

Vicky McCallum 5D2 passed her life saving course. 

Cari McIntyre 5D1 is a member of the girl’s football team which won their 2nd round game in the Scottish Cup. 

Jordan Savage 5D2 passed his life saving course. 

Sarah Jane Smith 5D2 passed her musical theory exam with distinction in grade 3 and her grade 4 practical piano exam with merit. 

Jonathan Jack 5D1 won a Come Dine with me cooking competition. 

Kieran Sinclair 2D caught a 14lb pike with a 12lb line. 

Sophie Taylor and Caitlin Scott 2D won the Ramsay Challenge. 

Graham Kidd 4D1 achieved his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. 

Alex Carmichael 4D1 won 2nd and two 4th at the European Championships for Highland Dancing in Belfast. 

Graham Armstrong 5D2 caught a 4lb rainbow trout. 

Caitlin Duncan 5D2 completed her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Hike. 

Michael Jackson 5D1 joined hockey practice with national players in Edinburgh.

Rebecca Dobbin 1H won the U-16 girl’s singles at badminton. 

Conor Morgan 1H got a green belt in TaeKwonDo. 

Thomas Baxter 3H was part of the Law U-15 relay team which came 3rd in the Scottish National Championship Finals. He also came 2nd in the 60m and 200m sprints at the Club championships. 

Lauren Palmer 1H won a netball medal. 

Rachel Armstrong 1H won 6 trophies at Highland Dancing.

Andrew Lewis 6K passed his driving test. 

Chloe Matumba 1K2 came 5th in an S1 girls cross country event at Biggar. 

Daniel Sleight 3K2 won silver and bronze medals at a Taekwondo competition. 

Kirstie Bryce 3K1 passed all her dancing exams with highly commended. She also got the part of Penny in Shine’s production of Hairspray. She will also be Levi in their new production of Joseph. 

Karan Russell 6K came 3rd in the world championships with her orchestra. 

Ross Callan 2K has scored 10 goals this season for Milton Rovers. 

Laura Schoneville 5K passed her dancing exams. 

Robert Forrest 5K is Scottish Boxing Champion. 

Lauren Thurley 6K passed her Rugby Coaching Level 1 and Hockey coaching foundation level.
 
Rebecca Warren 3K1 achieved a new personal best at the long jump 4.23m. 

Sofia Shajahan 3K1 passed her grade 5 guitar exam. 

Juia Hamilton 3K1 passed her Grade 8 music exam. 

Danielle Smillie 1K2 was chosen to participate in Being my best. 

Lauren Bryce 6K won the British Champion Title for TaeKwonDo.

Hannah Bingham 4L2 was highly commended for her Highland exams. 

Allan Smith 4L1 came 3rd in World Masters Stock Car Racing in Ireland and won at Tauton. 

Lauren Holt 4L1 performed as a dancer in Shine’s performance of Hairspray. 

Stuart Mackenzie 1L was selected for the International Children’s’ Games squad. 

Scott Mackenzie gained his Boy’s Brigade Queen’s Badge and passed his lifeguard qualification.
Kieran Brooks 6L passes his driving test. 

Mark Ferris 5L2 passes his lifeguard course. 

Aimee Coutts 2L is going on trials for volleyball for the International Children’s’ Games squad. 

Gillian Waddell 6L achieved her bronze Duke of Edinburgh. 

Katie Prentice 4L2 was highly commended for her tap exams.
 Rebecca Nicholls 3M won in a dancing show. 

David Smith 6M gained his Boy’s Brigade Queen’s Badge. 

Andrew McGregor 5M won the Sport’s Personality award in South Lanarkshire. 
Andrew also was part of the Scotland U-20 squad that beat England twice and he was voted the second best player of the games. 

Eilidh Park 2M1 passed her Karate exam and is now an orange belt. 

Louise Russell 2M2 got her black belt. 

Jennifer Rintoul 2M1 passes the National Grade 11 for Gymnastics. She also gained 5 medals at Alandar Gymnastics competition: 2nd on bars, 2nd on vault; 3rd on floor, 2nd overall individual and 2nd overall team.

Carolanne McColl 4M1 passed her grading for a green belt. 

Gary Nicholls 6M won a stock car final at Cowdenbeath. 

Eilidh Lindsay 5M won 1st place with her jazz band in the Royal Concert Hall. 

Gillian Anderson 3M spoke at the RGS Geo Speak meeting about her winning “Being my Best” Investigation.

 David Walker 1B2 was top scorer in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup for Accies Boys Club. 

Gillian Crozier 4B got a black belt in Karate .

Robert Brown 4D1 has been invited to France/Italy in June and July with the SRU and the Glasgow Thistles.
 
Heather Barr 2D won a bronze at the Kickboxing World Championships in Dublin, and also got her blue belt. She also won 2 gold medals for grappling and kickboxing and a silver for points at the British Championships in Manchester. 

Emily O’Brien 6D passed her driving test. 

Nadine Wyper 6D passed her driving theory test. 

Callum Brown 2D has been successful in promoting the Youth centre in Carluke with posters and letters. 

Sarah Jane Smith 5D2 sat her grade 3 theory of music exam at Strathclyde University. 

Karen Graham 4D1 successfully taught Alex Crawford to play golf. 

Michael Jamieson 5D1 has been promoted to corporal in the Air Cadets (Lanark). 

Ashley Craig 5D1 got a part in Shine and is leader of the Shine dance. 

Elisa Stewart 3D got into Shine after her 1st audition. 

Calum Waltho 3D successfully trialled for Clyde U15 Pro Youth.

Jack Williams 5D came 2nd in the Scottish Karting Championships in his 1st year in the senior class. 

Adam Neill 3D scored the winning goal in the final for Shawlands United.

Lauren Morrison 1H won 3 medals at golf.
Connor McDonald 1H won a runners up trophy at Preston.

David Grierson 1H won a cross-country race at St Aidans. 

Christopher Thomson 1H won 11 golf medals at Kames. 

Lauren Macaulay became 2nd National Champion for fighting in Karate. 

Scott leghorn 3H did 210 press ups in 3 min at the SECC in Glasgow with the RAF trainers and set a new record. 

Jamie Muirhead 2H2 entered a competition to have his poem published in a book.

Declan McGurk 1K1 got into the final of the Renshaw Challenge in Home Economics. 

Evan Jones 1K1 won a bronze medal in the South Lanarkshire Schools 100m. 

Kyle Forgie 1K1 won the WSKC Championships at Karting, and was 1st in Scotland and 3rd in the UK for Karting. 

Colin Jackson 4K was part of the Clydside Hockey Team which won the West District 4th Division, scoring 6 goals and setting up 12. 

Aaron Armstrong 1K1 has got 3 trophies and 9 medals. 

Daniel Sleight 3K2 won 2 gold medals and a bronze in Taekwondo and gained his green belt, blue tag. 

Rebecca Warren 3K1 won Law and District’s Annual Club Championships, winning the 100m and long jump and coming 3rd in the javelin and 300m. 

Ross Murray 5K won the Bothwell castel Open with a 62 nett. 

Amy Stevenson 3K1 passed all her dancing exams. 

Christopher Sleight 1K1 has been on Tv and will be on a DVD. 

Kyle Watson 1K2 won a gold medal in Taekwondo. 

Scott Findlay 1K2 won medals for rugby. 

Declan Craig 1K1 got to the finals of the Renshaw Challenge.
 Alan Smith 4L1 has won many racing competitions. 

Alison MacRae passed her Grade 6 LAMDA exam for solo acting. 

Ashley Bryce 2L won 1st place in a dancing competition, and 2 trophies at a highland dancing competition. 

Linzi Doyle 5L2 is performing in the Lanarkshire Supershow. 

Derek Campbell won gold in the British Championship in Taekwondo. 

Kyle Goldie 2L got his grading in Taekwondo. 

Katriona Sharkey 6L participated in the Scottish Space School.
 Jennifer Rintoul 2M1 won gold medals for both asymmetric bars ands the beam at the Women’s National Level 6 Gymnastic Competition in Perth, she also came 2nd overall in her club’s Christmas Competition. 

Ross McClung 4M1 passed his first grading in Thai-boxing. 

Liam McQuade 4M1 passed his first grading in Thai-boxing. 

Carol-Anne McColl 4M1 got a medal for Karate. 

Liam McQuade 4M1 is a member of the Clyde Valley Falcons u16 American Football Team, the Scottish Champions for 2008/9 and 2009/10, and British Champions 

Nikki Johnston 1M has joined Shine Youth Musical Theatre group. 

Gillian Anderson 3M won a prize in the John Bartholomew Essay Writing Competition with her Being my Best Investigation.
