If you want to stay on at school or college or are home educated, you may be entitled to an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA). This is a weekly allowance of £30. It provides financial support to help young people from low income households continue their education.
EMA is paid on a 2 weekly basis in arrears.
EMA must be applied for on an annual basis
