The Skills for Work course in Sports and Recreation covers the main practical activities involved in carrying out a support role in a sports and recreation environment, as well as health and safety legislation. Set at SCQF levels 4 and 5, the course gives hands-on experience in an appropriate recreational setting.

Why choose dance?
Dance is an opportunity for pupils to be involved in a variation of dance performances and choreography and the ability to express themselves through movement whilst contributing to their social and intellectual development.
Dance affords individuals the opportunity to develop:
- Performance within Jazz, Contemporary, Alternative and Hip Hop.
- Expertise in choreographing their own dance piece.
- Knowledge and experience in reflecting on, and analysing, dance performances.
- Research skills to explore the history of dance.
The Dance courses allow pupils to work both independently and collaboratively, reflecting on both personal achievement and the importance of inclusivity, whilst developing personal and interpersonal skills.
